I needed to start work on the back of the case. First of all it’s time for some drilling, and then some sawing - a few holes for the expansion cards, then some welding to the expansion card slots to be able to fit the cards.

How about some front USB and firewire? Definitely needed. You can see how the motherboard tray and the backplate come together here.

With the rear side pretty much done, I then started with the front. I needed to draw a template on some paper so that I could accurately cut out the required shape. I attached this to the aluminium and then drilled some pilot holes and then fired up the jigsaw again.
